Polyglyceryl-3 Cetearyl Alcohol ist ein nicht-ionischer Emulgator, der durch Veresterung von Polyglycerin-3 mit Cetearylalkohol hergestellt wird. Er gehört zur Gruppe der PEG-freien Emulgatoren und ist besonders bei Naturkosmetik-Formulierungen beliebt. Er bildet stabile Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsionen mit mittlerem HLB-Wert (~8–9) und bietet eine gute Stabilität über ein breites pH-Spektrum (3–10). Er ist gut biologisch abbaubar und hautverträglich. In Kombination mit Fettalkoholen und Fettsäuren erzeugt er angenehme, nicht-fettende Texturen.
