Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR, Markenname Granactive Retinoid) ist ein direkt an den Retinsäure-Rezeptor bindendes Retinoid – anders als Retinol muss es nicht erst über mehrere Stufen metabolisiert werden. Das Ergebnis: vergleichbare Anti-Aging-Wirkung bei deutlich geringerer Irritation. HPR ist photostabiler als klassische Retinoide und eignet sich daher besonders für retinoid-empfindliche Haut. Klinische Anwendungsbeobachtungen zeigen Verbesserungen bei feinen Linien, Hautstruktur und Akne, bei gleichzeitig sehr guter Verträglichkeit auch in höheren Konzentrationen.
